memory limit for hibernation?

I'm having the same problem.  I increased my RAM from 384 MB to 1 GB and
now I can't hibernate.  I haven't tried going back to the old RAM, maybe I
should.  I also have enough swap space.  If you get this worked out,
please post the solution here so we can all see it.
