firefox upgrade problems

I did the same thing.

In System >> Preferences >> Preferred Applications I changed the web
browser setting to:

/home/david/.firefox/firefox %s

Obviously, /home/david/.firefox is where I put the Firefox 1.5 install
and don't forget the %s. I suspect you did and that's why Firefox only
opens to your home page.
