Dapper Pilot 4 alsa Problem and stability problem, upgrade the kernel!

I am using Dapper pilot 4 and have had some stability problems and also 
problem with my soundblaster card. I build kernel 2.6.16-rc4 and then the 
alsa could find and work with the SB card. The stability issue was that the 
I would get kernel panic randomly at boot. It had to do with 
apic_timer_interface. With the new kernel that is fixed as well.

There is a problem however with the new kernel, the nvidia driver installer 
does not work with it. The installer needs to be patched. you can find the

so I would recommend Ubuntu administrators to upgrade the kernel to 
2.6.16-rc4, it is more stable than the one they are using now.
