It depends what you do.  I run a web portal and I need to be able to
see the pages I might want to link to.  Some sites have nothing but
flash on their opening page - so I cannot see the page at all.  That's
pretty fundamental for me.

That was kind of tongue-in-cheek.. seems you guys take my comments way
too serious.

Anyway, for a web portal/web proxy I would call driftnet
fundamental... as is spares you from surfing the risky sites to see
the "good" stuff. Not to mention, equally as fundamental, a coffee
machine for enjoying a hot cuppa while drooling over what driftnet
sniffed...
