Hello, I've looked at all the replies I saw on 2-26-06 as of about
5pm EST. And all of them deal seam to be dealing with group permissions.
Which sounds right to me except that this is ubuntu and nobody bothered
to mention configuring the new user account for sudo... Me I have an
actual root account and avoid sudo, but that isn't the ubuntu norm.
Since I don't use sudo I can't tell you how to add a user to it. But a
quick look at the man files suggests you check the documentation
( man visudo ) for clues about that. As far as I know, all you need to
do to clone the "1st user" privileges under sudo is to clone the
settings of the first user in the "/etc/sudoers" file... If I'm wrong,
I'm sure some sudo user will correct me.
