What's the best venue of getting some assistance?

Thanks, Vince.
I'm installing to an OldWorld G3. I have been through the initial install,
past the point when it ejects the CD and reboots. I guess that's the good
news - that I at least got the thing booting into Linux, and the base OS
seems to have been installed OK. (I can log in, and it does have network
connectivity.)
But upon reboot, it begins the Ubuntu Configuration - "Installing
Packages."
At 5%, it fails (unmet dependencies in mysql)
It loads the GUI login (edubuntu splash screen)
I choose shutdown, cycle the power, the box boots into OS 9.2, loads BootX,
boots into Linux, loads GUI login. All is good.
I login with my user account, and it begins loading (Window Mgr, etc.)
It kicks back out to "Installing Packages."
Again, fails at 5%. Mysql. Again.
I press escape, and it brings up the GUI login. I wait....
And it returns to "Installing Packages."
I've been through this cycle a total of ten or so times, between the two
different discs I burnt from the downloaded ISOs. The most recent is
kubuntu-5.10-install-powerpc.iso.
Yesterday, I was almost crazy insane enraged. I'd like to I *stop*
"Installing Packages" or, alternatively and perhaps best, get past the mysql
dependencies. I don't have the error right in front of me, but it sure looks
like the installer is trying to install an older version of MySQL than what
is already installed on the box.
What if I delete or uninstall mysql? Where is it on the disk, that I can
take a look at what's installed?
Thanks!
