k3b errors out while burning [addendum]

It suddenly occurred to me that when I was writing the multi-session media I 
was logged in as root --that is, on the KDE Desktop for root-- and when I was 
attempting to copy the CD I was logged in as the regular user.  Important, 
perhaps??
