Here is a list of my restricted modules:

bb at bb:~$ dpkg -l linux-restricted-modules\*|grep ^ii
ii linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-10-amd64-k8 2.6.12.4-11.1 Non-free
Linux 2.6.12 modules on AMD K8
ii linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-9-amd64-k8 2.6.12.4-11 Non-free
Linux 2.6.12 modules on AMD K8
ii linux-restricted-modules-common 2.6.12.4-11.1 Non-free
Linux 2.6.12 modules helper script
bb at bb:~$

Is it safe to remove these modules?
What is the best way?
Do I need to reinstall the kernel afterwards?

I really don't want to hose my entire setup!
Still trying to achieve smooth 3D and 1280 X 800 native resolution.

Thanks for all the help.

Bradley
