hello again,

i tried several workaround for this problem, which included trying a newer
version of stellarium (0.7.1) for the debian repository, there were
dependency problems which i have solved after working with it for a
while.unfortunately the same "segmentation error" pop up again.

i need more guidance on the debugging process. stellarium is a gnome
program, when i run it with gdb, it just hold up in the full screen
graphical mode, i cant even terminate the program. it holds up my system.

i have tried "screen gdb stellarium" and "screen stellarium >
stellarium-log", hoping that the screen could be detached or the screen dump
could be made in the text file, but booth medthod failed.

can anyone offer me a pointer to the problem?
