I think by default ISO doesn't maintain user/group and permission.
You have to use the "rockridge extensions" when creating the ISO
in order to preserve these details.

Like someone else mentioned before, I would create a .tar.gz or
.tar.bz2 archive of your home directory and then put that on the
CD (in ISO format).

Otherwise, if all you have is the plain old .iso and you've already
wiped out the original, then just be ready to chown and chmod the 
files as necesarry.
