What is make and model of the laptop? There is mention of installation
problems in the forums:

mentions of Fedora on google as well.
Though from what your saying it sounds like it's only just started
happening? In which case I would tend to agree with the other posters,
sounds like a faulty fan, or a faulty sensor reporting 3000+. How old
is the laptop?
