I have not been following this thread, but I have had a quick look at
the routers manual. I am guessing that your Ubuntu system is set to use
dhcp and the dns settings are being overwritten by the setting obtained
from the router.
>From the routers manual it looks like you can set it's dhcp server to
send out the dns addresses. Try putting your ISPs dns addresses in the
router and see if that fixes your problem.
