I think I'll just go with separate /home dirs for now; by the time I need more 
space for K/Ubuntu, I figure I'll be ready to reclaim the space now taken by 
Mandriva.

Once I have more confidence surrounding the whole lilo/grub part of the 
process, I'll give 'er a shot [probably].
