Yes, that's exactly what I mean, Tony.  JD, you're trying to use a two
different pager programs, designed for displaying text on a terminal
for a human being in pages, with a pause in between, to concatenate
files together.  This is what 'cat' is for (in fact, the name 'cat'
comes from 'concantenate').
