It's not routable for the vast vast vast vast majority of Linux
machines (due to the hardware they're hooked to, aka the Home Router),
so no, it's of no security concern whatsoever.  It's effectively
disabled for no reason other than the meachine can't speak it to
anything.

So yeah, I'm pretty comfortable saying that. :-)
