You may think that because a few people just said so. But it appears I
did co-write a book for Ubuntu beginners last year, and in this book I
explained all the details that beginners should know to get well off.
I explained basic things about hardware, according to the researches I
had done, as I was myself a newbie when I started co-writing. I took a
full 24 hours plus several other tries to discover how to use Ntfsresize
from the installer, as no doc existed on the subject at this moment, so
I bought a second hand laptop for theses experiences and others, and
started to work on a Windows installed.
I sayd to the readers how fantastic is the world of free software, and
that it was more secure, and so on. I did an interview of a security
specialist, that I reported in the book.
We are three co-authors, and these 6 months work of my part is one of my
contributions. It's not for the money, it brings peanuts. It's for the
beginners point of view, the one who knows how hard it is when
beginning from 0 or pratically.
I consider it is most important to be perfectly honest, and not give
something for what it isn't.
So, I wish Ubuntu to be free 100%, and the non free up to each person to
install or not, according to their wishes and needs.

Yes there is, the ipw2100-fw and ipw1100-fw inclueded inside are not
free components.
Best greetings, Joyce Markoll.
