Google Earth problem resolved

Thanks for the tip - It turns out I had to update 
linux-dri-modules-2.6.15-25-386 to
linux-dri-modules-2.6.15-26-386. Interesting that this wasn't updated 
automatically.

Anyway, problem solved. Thanks again for the help.
