Ryan:
Given that the the Forum front page says that there are more than 1,100,000
posts on the site, it seems pretty obvious that the Forum is important to
many people. I'm not one of that group, however. (And I see that I'm not
alone in feeling this way). I've always preferred mail lists -- less
extraneous chatter, fewer "me too" messages, fewer ego trips (what's with
those graphics?), less repetition, no spam, easier to search...
Case in point: When I first read your post last night, I thought it would be
interesting to check out the forum discussion that you mention. I struck out
-- where in hell is it? I looked in the Forum Discussion, the Fridge, the
Backyard, the Jail, Official Announcements, and a couple of others. No soap.
Nada. Nil. Nothing.
As either Casey Stengel or Yogi Berra once said, "Include me out".
