ATI drivers and Xorg 7.0

Hi,

I have a laptop with an ATI Express 200M.

I have been able to make it work properly (with the private drivers)
except of DRI support, that means no 3D hardware acceleration.

I wonder if someone has been able to make it work.

Googling a bit i have found that looks like the problem is with
libdri.so that Xorg 7.0 brings, and that it maybe works with a previous
Xorg release (6.8 ?) or the 7.1 one.

Can anyone confirm this? Have you tested it with a different Xorg
version than me?

In case that it works with the 7.1 one, is around there any repository
with this packages for Ubuntu?
