Dapper is LESS stable than Breezy.

well, YEAH !!  I tried upgrading and nothing (wireless, sound, usb) worked.
After a clean install and 5 hours futzing with xorg.conf, things are finally
approaching normal.  Except that I still have to reinstall all the
unsupported stuff I need.  Wheee.

I think the term 'enterprise' as it is being used here refers to dodgy
rental cars rather than galaxy class starships, or even corporate
leviathans...
