Installing in existing LVM Volume Group?

Hello!

I'd like to try out Ubuntu and install it on my local harddrive. The "problem"
is, that I'm using LVM and have all my free space on my 1 hd assigned to
Physical Volumes (PV) and made one Volume Group (VG) out of this. On this VG,
I've got ~12 GB of unassigned space, which could easily be assigned to new
Logical Volumes (LV).

Question: With Ubuntu 6.06 (does it matter which "flavor"?), is it possible to
install it in an existing volume group and have it create new logical volumes
there?

Thanks,
