Installing in existing LVM Volume Group?

Well, for me, installation doesn't work (see this thread) and
Wifi also doesn't work (see thread "Getting wifi to work"). So,
if I'm generalising - sorry for that, but Ubuntu just doesn't
work for me. And that's what I call a "not impressive show".
Heck - at least the installation has to work... That's IMO the
most basic requirement and here Ubuntu failed. Granted, LVM
might not be what "newbies" use a lot (which I don't understand -
LVM is so extremely great, versatile and easy to use...).
Because of those bugs, I'm waiting for the next release of Ubuntu
in the hope, that it might be useable at that time. Right now,
it just plainly is not - for me, that is.
But I'm not saying, that I've done everything right. Please tell
me, how to install Ubuntu in an existing VG and please tell me,
how to get Wifi to work (cf. thread "Getting wifi to work").
