No.  And the fact that it recommends you try "swapon -a" suggests that it
definitely _isn't_ looking for a hardcoded device.  It also suggests that,
whatever you think, you _don't_ have a swap turned on now.

So what happened when you tried "swapon -a"?  Try "swapon -s" before and
after doing "swapon -a".
