On a side note to this discussion - and considering that a change of
mail client has already been discussed - I just found out (have not
tried it myself) that Opera 9's mail client operates just like Gmail's
web interface:

- labels instead of folders
- all-encompassing inbox and archiving

I intend to try it as soon as I make up some room in my box for
storing mail. Currently I use Opera as my main browser, but not as
mail client - I've been only on webmail.

Got more interested in doing so after I found a not-so-much publicized
fact - that Opera's browser & mail functions can get extensions just
like Firefox & Thunderbird. See http://userjs.org/ and
http://my.opera.com/community/ .

BTW, for Gmail users there are also some interesting bits at
http://www.scss.com.au/family/andrew/opera/gmail/ .
