Except that _isn't_ where such an announcement belongs.  People who don't
know better are seeing mention of edgy and trying it.  Announcements
_should_ be made on the announcement list, and probably here, where people
_other_ than developers will read them.

Actually, it isn't.  The schedule doesn't even suggest it.  You and I (and
anybody reading this thread) know it will - but there are no guarantees. 
For heaven's sake, the section up to the "Upstream Freeze" is color-coded
green!  That says "full steam ahead" to me.
