sound problem

Alright! I modified the two lines in ~/.asoundrc.asoundconf
!defaults.pcm.card External_1
defaults.ctl.card External_1
to
!defaults.pcm.card 0
defaults.ctl.card 0
and it seems to work. Need to continue testing but at least system ->
preferences -> audio works
I had an external audio device connected a long time ago and at that
time I changed the default sound device to the external one. Such
configuration seems to be remained. I'm wondering why it wasn't changed
back after I changed it in system -> preferences -> audio ?
