Help: when custom-building kernel 2.6.15.5 asked for cramfs patch

Hi --

 As I was going throught the motions of custom-building kernel
2.6.15.5, the process warned me that Debian systems needed cramfs
patch, because the pristine kernel did not come patched.

 I searched for this issue on the (horrible,horrible) Ubuntu web site,
and googled, but I coulnd't find any pointers to this issue, let alone
where I could find the patch.

 Anyone know this?
 Any help/suggestion greatly appreciated.
