[Dapper] initramfs-tools and kernel upgrade issues

Yes, I know it's beta, so if it doesn't get fixed, I can't complain, but
I seem to be having a small problem with updating 4 packages on my
system. Has anyone else ran in to this and if so, do they have a way
around? Or should I just leave my system in limbo for the next few weeks
and hope it straightens itself out?

Setting up initramfs-tools (0.40ubuntu24) ...
Kernel version too old.  initramfs-tools requires at least 2.6.12.
