Dapper, Resuming from Hibernate not restoring modules

Hi,

After a recent upgrade from Breezy to Dapper when I hibernate my
laptop (which works fine) and then bring it back up the following does
not occur as it did with Breezy:

1: It fails to switch back to the GUI terminal, I have to press
ctrl-alt-f7 to get back.

2: It fails to load device drivers; sound, network, etc.

Any suggestions as to where to start looking are welcome.
