xmgrace -pexec

Hi everyone,
I am a fairly new to Ubuntu (4 days). I was using Suse for a long time. 
I was using a program called grace in Suse .  I install the same program 
in Edubuntu, it works fine however I cannot use '-pexec' option of grace.
the command: xmgrace -pexec
No option -pexec
Usage of xmgrace command line arguments:
-autoscale [x|y|xy|none]              Set autoscale type
-barebones                            Turn off all toolbars
...........
..........

I need to use -pexec option for my essential script namdplot.
Do you have any suggestion why ubuntu give such an error ?
by the way I installed the program by Snaptic
