Hello Daniel and welcome.
One minor point, when you ask a question please don't reply to another
question - this is known as hijacking a tread. Some of us have threaded
mail and your question ends up in the wrong place. It is also out of
place in the mail archives.
To try and answer your questions, you should be able to access the
Internet right away if you have an Ethernet connection. If you have dial
up and a modem it is a little bit more difficult as some modems only
work under windows. What sort of connection do you have? When you say
cannot find page is that on a web browser?
You cannot directly play windows games on ubuntu. Some games like quake
have ports that will run. Some games you have to use an emulator such as
wine which fools the game into thinking it is running under windows.
Hope this helps,
Rob
