Hi all,

I pretty much have one more item to solve on my new thinkpad x40 laptop.
I have ubuntu 5.10 (breezy) installed on it. I've searched on google and
read a few wiki pages, but I haven't found an answer.

Here's my current problem: fn-f7 sends output to the vga output fine. I
need to do this quite often so I can use a projector. Now, if I have the
lcd and the vga output on at the same time, the vga output flickers to
the point of being almost painful to watch. If I turn the lcd off and
send output to the vga, the flickering stops. But today I discovered
that I had lost my mouse. or, rather, the mouse continues to work, but
it doesn't show up on the screen. In fact, the mouse would continue to
be invisible even if I go back to lcd on, crt off. I needed to reboot in
order to get the mouse image back.

Also, on one projector, but not on a second one, I was only getting part
of the screen to be sent to the crt output, so I had to move stuff to
the left edge of the screen (even with lcd off, crt on).

Any ideas?

TIA,

Jaime
