Hi Zach,

The only way I have seen to use a Publisher file in Linux is to output it as
PostScript (.ps) or Extended PostScript (,eps) and then use GIMP,
pstoedit, ivtools,
or pstopdf to convert the file to another useable form.  This is very crude
but could be useful to get the basic informaiton.

Some actually recommend the OOo tools as a Publisher replacement.  Others
mention Scribus, LaTeX, and Xfig.  There is a lot of software in
developement, it depends on what you want to accomplish.

Interesting note, I have not used Publisher in about nine years.  All of my
needs for the basic tools that I remember in Publisher are easy within
the OOo Suite.  But my needs for publishihing right now are few.
