Which file replace /etc/modprobe.conf in Ubuntu?

Thanks, it worked. I updated bug #33075 ( 
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/linux-restricted-modules-2.6.15/+bug/33075)  
for anyone having a Dell laptop with same screen pb as me.
