If we could, we would have already done this for warty. Unfortunately,
there are legal reasons that we cannot include that officially. I'm
happy to review your patches/new packages to solve this issue, though.

apt-get install j2re-1.4 works in breezy like a charm for me, including
the browser plugin for mozilla/firefox/galeon.
