Dapper post installation problem

No. It is a desktop machine on which hoary and breezy could be installed
easily. Of course, both of them were using fb without any issues. If it
is of any help, I am currently running debian sarge, kernel 2.6.16 ith
framebuffer support. The only difference that I can think of is the use
of bootsplash which I have not installed on debian.

As I remarked in my first mail, I am running the same dapper(f5) on
another machine with fb, spalsh, etc. without any problems.

If there are any specific parameters that I need to pass to the kernel,
can you point them to me?
