Okay I cheated: I lived for 3 years in the midlands to do a BEng degree
at Hertfordshire's University ;-)
Even then, my English is not as good as it should be given all the time
I spent there. My class mates (French or overseas) back then performed
much better... but that's because they spent all their time going out in
pubs, which speeds up the learning process somewhat ;-)
