If something is ONLY a printer server then I wonder why you'd even go
with xubuntu, which main aim is to provide a very light-weight graphical
environment. Obviously, for a print server you don't need *ANY*
graphical environment.
So instead of xubuntu I'd use the regular Ubuntu and then choose if you
want a server-install (so without any graphical environment) or that you
do a default installation first, with GUI and all, then set up your
print server stuff and then make some changes to stop the GUI from
starting and eating up resources. You could even uninstalla the whole
GUI to save disk space but I would only do this if lack of disk space is
an actual issue.
And then as for breezy vs dapper in all of the above... I don't think it
matters much.. Dapper will be supported for 5 years as a server, so
that's what I'd move to next month.
