Hmm, I no longer use vpnc, as I found there is a client from Cisco that
I could compile and it runs fine on Ubuntu. We also changed something on
 our VPN service whch meant vpnc would no longer work, but I'm
struggling to remember what the change was.

IIRC, with vpnc, it came with a script (vpnc-connect, or something
similar) and if you ran that it then prompted you for eveything you needed.

I'll try it again and see if I can jog my memory!
