OK. I have discovered that I cannot enter Hebrew on the right in
Evolution, so it's virtually useless for my Hebrew correspondence. No
matter Thunderbird handles the Hebrew fine. and I'm used to TB from
Windows.
Evolution also does not allow a sound signal for appointments, which I
need in my home office. "Use Kalarm" I'm told, so I install that, but
that too does not make a sound. It lets me think it will, by linking to
a sound file. Just doesn't make a peep. I suppose it works fine in Kubuntu.
So, come on. There must be someone out there who turns his eyes away
from the screen from time to time, and who therefore needs an audio
signal. What are you using.
Why is it so easy to find these service programs in ... that other OS? I
need to hear from folks who are really trying to use Ubuntu for
productive work, and not just hobbyists.
