[Q] upgrade Flight-6 to Flight-7?

Thank you all for your kind replies. I should have been more 
specific. I have the LiveCD-Flight-7 and I want to update a 
machine that is *NOT* on the Internet. I thought I could add the 
CDROM to Synaptic and have it do the update.

Vincent helped me understand that the "text-mode" ISO is the 
correct version of Ubuntu to try and update from (not the LiveCD). 
I tried the text-mode-7 last night and it seemed to be ignored.

I am sure I am doing something stupid. I will try again today when 
I figure out how to get my ZD1211b WiFi USB dongle BACK INTO THE 
Flight-7 KERNEL! I had it working perfectly under Flight-6 and now 
it is totally inoperable. The necessary kernel mods are gone.
