[Q] upgrade Flight-6 to Flight-7?

First, *back up*your data.



If you use a CD, you will reinstall Ubuntu.



If you want, you can do a dist-upgrade and it will upgrade your system
without reinstalling Ubuntu.  However, it has a higher rate of failure
(crashing your system) than reinstalling it by CD.  



Open the Terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal)



sudo apt-get update



sudo apt-get dist-upgrade



I did a dist-upgrade on my laptop, and I had some small problems, but
nothing serious.   Just took a while cause it is only 700 MHz and 128
ram.
