I've managed to take this one step further (I have a Nokia 6230, but the
same MA-620 infrared device):
* I run the following command to connect the device:
Code:
--------------------
irattach /dev/ttyUSB0 -d ma600 -s
--------------------
* I test with irdadump. While the phone is not in IR communication
mode, irdadump output looks like this:
Code:
--------------------
15:09:24.083917 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=0 (14)
15:09:24.173901 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=1 (14)
15:09:24.263874 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=2 (14)
15:09:24.353857 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=3 (14)
15:09:24.443841 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=4 (14)
15:09:24.533824 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=5 (14)
15:09:24.623807 xid:cmd 98c51fb2 > ffffffff S=6 s=* zzz hint=0400 [ Computer ] (19)
--------------------
But when I activate infrared on the phone and bring it in proximity of
the device, irdadump starts adding this line to the output:
Code:
--------------------
15:08:42.620824 xid:rsp 98c51fb2 < 0000eccf S=6 s=5 Nokia 6230 hint=b125 [ PnP Modem Fax Telephony IrCOMM IrOBEX ] (27)
--------------------
So it seems like I'm on the right track. Any idea what to do next?
Ideally, I'd like a nice frontend of some kind that will allow at the
very least to transfer files between computer and phone. I've installed
irda-utils, gnokii, openobex. Tinkering with the command-line tools
haven't got me far until now.
