launchpad/malone bug

If I browse launchpad and look at the 'synaptic' package:
  https://launchpad.net/products/synaptic
there are some bugs shown in the right-hand side "Latest bugs in synaptic:".

But if I go to the "bugs" page:
  https://launchpad.net/products/synaptic/+bugs
it reports "There's no open bugs currently."

If I also search on "all bugs ever reported":
  https://launchpad.net/products/synaptic/+bugs?search=Search
it reports "No results for search".

If I do an advanced search and check all boxes, including rejected and fixed bugs:
https://launchpad.net/products/synaptic/+bugs?field.searchtext=&orderby=-priority%2C-severity&field.status%3Alist=Unconfirmed&field.status%3Alist=Needs+Info&field.status%3Alist=Rejected&field.status%3Alist=Confirmed&field.status%3Alist=In+Progress&field.status%3Alist=Fix+Committed&field.status%3Alist=Fix+Released&assignee_option=any&field.assignee=&field.owner=&field.omit_dupes.used=&field.omit_dupes=on&field.has_patch.used=&search=Search
it reports "No results for search".

So how do I view all bugs reported against synaptic? How is someone meant to
confirm or fix a bug if they cannot find it?

On the first page there is some inconspicuous text 'Product status: Doesn’t use
Malone', but when searching for bugs there is no message like "malone/launchpad
does not track bugs for synaptic" or a link to an external bug-reporting page.
It shouldn't just pretend there are no bugs. This causes duplicate bug reports,
and prevents people sharing work-arounds or finding the real bug-list.

This issue may already be reported as a bug against malone, but with 380
currently open bugs it is a bit difficult to tell if it's in there.

It seems a bit odd that a core utility in main like synaptic has invisible bug
reports and a minimal home-page with no bug-reporting mechanism. It seems that
bug-reports just disappear into the void.
