using xfwm in gnome?

Yes it is possible. I used xfwm4 some weeks, but an update broke the
window list functionality, so now I'm using sawfish again.
I followed the instructions on
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-88393.html
to replace metacity with xfwm4.
