[Dapper] PCMCIA network card no longer working

I've had similar problems with a thinkpad T22. I reported a bug at
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/43194

Have you tried booting with the PCMCIA card inserted? That works for me
as a workaround.
