I notice, once I mod the /boot/menu.lst
and added noapic, the cpu meter AMD64 was reading correctly
and the network time server was working, and the error
localhost kernel [4416707.799000] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40
was gone. ( very odd )

Now how can I run a generic test,
to make sure all is working with the drivers,
and devices, and cpu, etc..etc.

What command or commands should I use?
