Ubuntu as a family

Daniel and Chanchao, thanks for these reminders of history. Hopefully 
it'll put the issue to bed for a while. Chanchao, I really like your 
alternative names idea, and agree it would have been a better, less 
confusing way but as it's done there's not much chance of going back now 
:-).

I do think Ubuntu is both a distro and a family of releases and we 
should leave it there. There is plenty of opportunity to name things 
when discussion of the Edgy Eft's successor comes up.
