Is there an AIM/ICQ server that can run on Ubuntu?

Hello,
Forgive my ignorance, but I'm new to the IM world. Some friends and I are
trying to organize an event and they are all chatting on AIM/ICQ and I'm left
out. I'm the only one using Linux.
I've done a bit of research but all I can find are the clients. I have gaim
installed so I don't need a client, but I gather I need to set up an account
somewhere.
I've set up email and web servers, so I'm not afraid of setting up another,
but I have no idea what such a thing is called. I did find jabberd but I'm
guessing it only supports the jabber protocol.
Is there a FOSS server that will support AIM/ICQ? What do the rest of you do?
I really don't want to set up an AOL account.
Thanks,
Michael
