Ah yes, since /boot is on a separate filesystem, I had to remove /boot
from the file paths for some reason.  Also changed
/dev/mapper/VolGroup-blah to /dev/VolGroup/blah.  Crossing fingers...

Yay!!!! That worked, now to install a Debian Sarge VM!
